Kempty Falls, India
Water to me is the most enigmatic of all the elements of nature. Flowing through eternity, it is a source of life.
This photograph shot at Kempty Falls, Mussoorie, signifies prosperity and calm to me. I remember exploring the hills on a cold sunny day, when I found this surreal moment in the heart of the falls. Its sheer glow left me mesmerised and it is undoubtedly one of the most exquisite waterfalls of Uttarakhand. The struggle to reach here was as real as the effort to capture this moment, half submerged in the freezing waters. I had to calibrate the camera settings as this is a hand held long exposure shot being one of my first long exposure photographs. And if things were not really difficult already, I managed to loose my tripod mount screw and someone stole my T-shirt. I eventually managed to capture this shot by holding myself still to compose and expose the frame. But every time I look back at this picture, everything seems worth it !

The intricacy of a landscape lies in its originality. I have traveled to pristine remote places to explore the untouched regions of our planet and have always returned with extraordinary memories and lessons. This particular photograph is just a moment stolen from the incredible experience that I had while exploring the Scottish Highlands. When it comes to visual storytelling, I believe Photography plays a vital role to create emotional responses. I have always taken it as my duty and am grateful for it to be my job to document and share it with the world.

Location :Zabarwan range, Kashmir
Panoramas are famous for their expansiveness and reach. This photograph definitely exemplifies that vastness and beauty that Kashmir has to offer. Shot from one the Jharokhas of Pari Mahal or the Palace of Fairies in Srinagar, this picture is reminiscent of my recent trip to the Heaven on Earth. Standing on the Zabarwan mountain range, my 2-hour hike was rewarded with this stunning Golden Hour. I could witness and capture the sun-soaked Dal lake along with the South-Western periphery of Srinagar. This photograph is special for its tranquility and a painting like composition.

That incredible solace that i attain by indulging into its mysteries.
It’s a blessing that comes to those who lookout for it. It’s hidden but it’s real, it’s fragile, it’s intangible.

It was an adventurous exploration. Something i never tried before, Something i always thought about but never experienced. Living in the woods for almost 3 days straight in a tent with handful of fruits, a knife and a sketch book with my camera wrapped around my fist. I saw them staring at me every night and day, Those brutally rigid natural horns (The Mountains) on the other side of my view. I saw them so they became a mirror. I gradually realised that how nature teaches lessons in life. The way it portrays our souls back to us. It’s more than about learning lessons but discovering the inner-self. It almost felt like i could picture myself in the nature of those mountains right ahead, Brutally Natural.

Just can’t stop thinking about my time spent in the Outer Hebrides. One of the most pristine and untouched regions on the Western cost of Atlantic in the UK.
The most important aspect in the Hebridean community is Sustainability and it’s measures and outcomes are stark evident. These beaches are raw and unaltered by any human intervention and hence possess the sense of its heritage and culture.

Location: Lake Windermere, England
Shot on a pleasant autumn morning while driving through different towns within the Lake district.
The story rolls back nearly towards the end of the second world war during 1945, when hundreds of children were liberated and transported to this tiny town in the Lake district. The 300 Jewish children were the first intake of the pioneering rehabilitation scheme, where they were brought from the eastern Europe to start afresh. It changed many holocaust survivors lives who comprise a good amount of this tiny pleasing town around the lake today.

The beauty of this shot is its inconspicuous horizontal and vertical symmetry that is not glaringly obvious, but does exist. The white ice is reflected in the white currents of the river, framed by the almost black mountains on either side. This shot speaks volumes of the serenity that one can only find in the hills.

Dark looming hills have always been a source of fascination for me. The fact that nature has the ability to immediately light up these gigantic mountains with sun and snow is another wonder to behold. This beautiful play of light and shadow at a late afternoon in the laps of Himalayas, was captured in the Waichin Valley - popularly known as Magic Valley - for its mountains, flowers and adventure. I trekked to this extremely offbeat place located at an altitude of 2800 meters in Himachal Pradesh, as a getaway from the city life. This photograph is a perfect specimen of warmth in the coldest of times and to me it depicts serenity and grandeur.
